Indian qualifier Sanam Singh beat Germany's Nils Langer even as Saketh Myneni was beaten at the ATP Challenger in Knoxville, USA yesterday.
Sanam beat Langer 6-1, 6-4 to move to the singles pre-quarterfinals of the USD 50,000 hard court event. He now faces American fifth seed Donald Young, who ended Myneni’s campaign here with a 6-4, 6-2 win in the first round.
Meanwhile, in the doubles event, Sanam and Myneni went down 3-6, 4-6 to the top-seeded Australian pair of Samuel Groth and John-Patrick Smith.
