Unseeded Ruturaj Rathod of IES New English School (Bandra) beat second seed Aaryavardhan Jadhav of Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School (Dadar) 21-11, 19-21, 21-15 to enter the final of Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA)-organised boys under-14 badminton tournament at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) yesterday.

Ruturaj wrapped the first game 21-11 before Aaryavardhan clawed back to win the second game 21-19. In the decider, both were neck-to-neck at 9-9, before Ruturaj won 21-15. He will play top seed Atharva Joshi of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English (Vile Parle) in the final today.
