Champions Training Centre (CTC) beat Republicans 4-3 via shootout in an exciting men’s open quarter-final of the St Peter’s hockey tournament at Astro Park on Wednesday.

Darshan Gaonkar scored for CTC after which Ramashankar Sonkar equalised to take the game into the shootout. In the tie-breaker, Gaonkar, Devindar Walmiki and Romesh Pillay scored for CTC while only Shreekishan Chaurasia and Raj Solanki could score for Republicans. 


In the boys U-15 semi-finals, St Stanislaus beat Don Bosco 1-0 with Mark D’Mello netting the match-winner while Don Bosco Academy beat Children’s Academy 5-0.  Fouaad Sheikh scored a brace for DB Academy while Ethan Taites, Priyanshu Vichare and Amogh Gawde added one goal each.
