Aishwarya Rai Bachchan refused to do a commercial for a hair product for an international brand with Sonam Kapoor. So the original plan to have Rai and Kapoor together was scrapped and the two have shot for separate commercials.
Ash has done a hair product ad, while Sonam modelled for a skin lightening cream commercial. Oi, considering that Sonam has the mane to-die-for, and Aishwarya the luminous skin; shouldn't it have been the other way around? Lekin humko kaun poochta hai?
Hiding for cover
Minissha Lamba is having a tough time after going under the knife. A source says, "She's just had a nose and lip job. To her bad luck, the lip job went wrong. A day before her birthday, she was in a terrible state with her lips swollen.
That's the reason she only invited her close friends for a private birthday party and didn't interact with the media. She is going to stay indoors for some time till everything looks normal." Aww poor baby!

After the Sanjay Dutt-Imran Khan starrer Kidnap, Sanjay Gadhvi is taking his time to wield the directorial baton again. The Dhoom and Dhoom 2 director is taking a break.
He is in an introspective mood, following which there will be some serious thoughts on his story and the script of his next project. Meanwhile, there is always his prawn business to pursue.
Big B's big apology
In his blog, Amitabh Bachchan has cleared the air regarding his comment on Slumdog Millionaire. He writes, "Anil Kapoor calls. I had missed his call and message while in Paris. He is in Delhi with the cast and crew of Slumdog. He invites me to the premiere in Mumbai.
I explain to him my inability due to my travel and work schedule, but take the opportunity to clear the air... I ask to speak to Mr Danny Boyle and he readily organises... Mr Boyle is gracious and complimentary to my work and me. I explain the entire misinterpretation to him and he has a good laugh.
I extend my apologies if this uncalled for misdemeanour has caused him and his film any anguish and grief. He understands and acknowledges my calling him. I needn't have. He says.... I wish him to read the contents of my blog and my subsequent clarity on it."
