The Movies I Loved Growing Up
The soon-to-release Dulha Mil Gaya's debutant directoru00a0 picks his five flicks...

Mughal-e-Azam: K Asif's magnum opus was my dad's favourite movie. It was also the first film that I saw on the video cassette. The film starring Dilipsaab and Madhubala still lingers in my memory and for a very, very long time as a kid I actually believed that Prithviraj Sir (Kapoor) who played Akbar was really a Mughal emperor. You can well imagine the impact the film's grandeur, sets and dialogues had on me.u00a0u00a0

Ram aur Shyam: I can't stop watching this entertainer even now! The film had Dilipsaab and Waheeda Rehman in the cast. Dilipsaab, essaying a double role, simply rocked in it. Don't ask how many times I must have seen it.u00a0

Jo jeeta wohi Sikander: I was about I2 years old when I watched the movie and it sowed the seed of wanting to make films in me! That's the impact Mansoor Khan's film starring Aamir Khan had on me.

Henna: Starring Rishi Kapoor and Zeba Bakhtiar, I vividly remember several poignant moments from it. It moved me immensely, we really need to make Mr Randhir Kapoor direct films yet again.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge: It defines cinematic love for me till date. Aditya Chopra's romantic saga made an indelible mark on me and several youngsters at that time.
