Watch two plays based on Ruskin Bond's short stories, which are being staged in association with an NGO working towards preventing suicide. Directed by Akarsh Khurana from Akvarious Productions, the plays are titled Special Bond and Special Bond Part 2. The play is about a boy from Mumbai who goes to the hills to stay with his grandfather. But he doesn't want to go because he thinks it's a boring place. "Once he reaches there, he bonds with the local children and starts enjoying himself. He shares many short adventures with the local kids as well. Special Bond Part 2 is about him going back to the place after a year and meeting up with local children and the adventure continues," said Khurana. The play was first performed five years ago at Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre and a year later the second part opened at the same theatre. Around 10 actors will present the plays over two days.
