He's famous as a writer, but when it comes to directing films, Saurabh Shukla hasn't tasted that much success.
“The only thing I regret a little is that I did not follow the rules and never went into the star-system. So I am working on that now. I realise that if I have to make my films, I can’t keep rebelling against the system,” he told CS.
But along with doing that, Saurabh says he wants to keep his soul intact. “A very famous writer Amritlal Nagar said ‘Chavanni bachao’. It basically means you can corrupt yourself 75 per cent but save that 25 per cent of your soul from getting corrupted. If you try to save 100 per cent, the system will break you down.”u00a0
