For those who have tuned in late, Pandit has recently collaborated with actor-producer Ajay Devgn to create a 25 ICU-bed Covid-19 facility in Dadar, which will be managed by Hinduja Hospital. His other projects include a similar facility in association with Amitabh Bachchan in Juhu at Ritumbhara School. It will be open to the general public from Tuesday morning. Anand, who also contracted Coronavirus last year, started constructing these mini facilities a year ago with the help of the BMC to support them in their fight against the pandemic.

In the Instagram episode, the producer revealed“We had a construction job going on in Andheri East. That building continues to be used as an isolation facility by the BMC. This year, I got a call from Ajay Devgn who wanted to come up with a facility to help people. We identified a spot at Dadar. It’s fully functional and has been helping patients with assistance from Hinduja Hospital. Mr Amitabh Bachchan also wanted to do something similar, closer home."

Anand Pandit further added, "We now have a facility ready at Ritambhara School. Though I wish no one needs to use it; if someone does need help, it will be open from Tuesday. So many of my film industry colleagues have reached out to me to help them utilise their money to assist people in their needs. I used my infrastructure towards that. I believe that more than jumbo centres, we need smaller community centres to help people."

Weber, who had also reached out to Anand to assist those in need, says, “People like Anand are the need of the hour. They are remarkable human beings who help others and do so quietly and day after day.”
