Mega-star Amitabh Bachchan has bought a piece of land of around 10,000 square feet in Ayodhya, days before the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22.  Marked at Rs 14.50 crore, the property is 15 minutes away from the temple. “The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. This is the start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital,” said Bachchan.

The woes for Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal are far from over. The Netflix release of the film, it seems, may be delayed or canned. We hear that Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios has moved the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the film’s OTT release later this month due to a breach of contract between his company and T-Series. The case, we’re told, relates to a disagreement in the distribution of the share of profits and the title credits. The first hearing took place yester-day.

Calling Sandeep Reddy Vanga a filmmaker “who thinks out of the box”, actor Vivek Oberoi says he hopes to work with the Animal director. Vivek’s father, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi starred in Vanga’s latest film, and in 2019’s Kabir Singh, which was the Hindi remake of the director’s Telugu debut, Arjun Reddy. Vivek also said Vanga reminds him of director Ram Gopal Varma, who introduced him to Bollywood with the 2002 gangster drama, Company.
