Have you heard? An upgrade for Prabhas’s next

While the pandemic hit everyone, it looks like Prabhas’s next, Salaar will benefit from the aftermath. Initially slated to release on April 14 this year, the Baahubali actor’s next with director Prashanth Neel was deferred due to the pandemic. Now, post the mammoth success of the director’s KGF: Chapter 2, producer Vijay Kiragandur has decided to upscale Salaar to make it a spectacular treat for cinegoers. It is being said that considering the lukewarm response to Radhe Shyam, in which Prabhas barely had any stuntbaazi, director Prashanth has apparently been asked to incorporate some high-octane action set-pieces to boost the movie’s commercial prospects. Salaar could well be the pan-India breakthrough that Prabhas needs to regain lost ground. Never mind if it comes with some help from his director’s newfound box-office stature.

Ranveer Singh is over the moon with the response the trailer of his upcoming film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar has garnered. Gung-ho about a new kind of heroism on screen, he says, “It has a relevant and pertinent social message embedded in it. But for the most part, it is an entertainer. Before he began filming, Ranveer participated in several workshops with director Divyang Thakkar to create a unique character. He adds, “To be in an avatar that I have not been seen in before — the expressions, the body language, the accent, the voice, the gait — just about everything.  In fact, the reactions to the trailer have exceeded my personal expectations and that has left me surprised.”
