Sara Ali Khan

Putting the reactions to Atrangi Re behind her, Sara Ali Khan has swiftly moved on to her next project, Gaslight. Interestingly, the actor also has a yet-untitled film with Laxman Utekar in the pipeline. A source informs that Sara has been hopping from one city to the other to fulfil her commitments. “Sara has been running on a crazy work schedule. After returning from Utekar’s film shoot in Indore, the actor has filled her day with brand shoots, dubbing and daily workouts.”

Never a Lata biopic

Over the years, many creators and producers have approached Lata Mangeshkar for the rights to chronicle her life. Filmmakers even requested the family and the legend for a series on OTT, but everyone had been categorically told to respect her privacy and not pursue it. A source was quoted saying, “In the last few years, a lot of people wanted to make a biopic on Lata Mangeshkar, but she refused. She wasn’t keen on sharing anecdotes from her personal life.”

Homage to history

Singer Papon has released a song dedicated to Jammu and Kashmir titled Pyaara Jammu Kashmir. He says the track captures the stunning paradise in a musical way, paying respect to its history, people and culture. “The state has given us rich music, and it feels great to have been part of an anthem that celebrates it,” says Papon who was accompanied by singers Sonu Nigam, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur and Pratibha Singh Baghel.

Got it, flaunt it!

Ileana D’Cruz is raising the heat on social media by owning her curves. The actor posted pictures of herself in a red bikini and wrote, “So easy to get sucked into apps that get you to alter your body so effortlessly to make you look ‘slimmer’, ‘more toned’. Proud of the fact that I have deleted all those apps and chosen this instead. This is me, and I am embracing, every curve, all of me.” Way to go, girl!

On my terms

It has been a while since Sonu Nigam crooned for Bollywood movies. He says that he doesn’t believe in being part of an audition process, where singers record a song and hope to be picked for the final cut. Having said that, Sonu also revealed that he will be singing a song in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. He informs that he took up the song because Pritam approached him, stating that Aamir wanted him on board.

Two years and counting

Disha Patani remembers giving a nod to Mohit Suri’s Malang two years back. She says, “It was an exciting role and five minutes into the narration, I said yes to it. Rarely do you get the opportunity to play grey-shaded characters, and when I got it, I jumped at it. I love villains and loved being a baddie on screen.” The film, also starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, hit the theatres on February 7, 2020, thus clocking two years today.

Chiranjeevi back to pavilion

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who had tested Covid positive earlier, has fully recovered. The actor took to Twitter on Sunday to share that he has tested negative and is back to work.

He posted a few photos from the sets of Mohan Raja’s upcoming directorial Godfather and wrote, “Tested Negative. Back to work and back in action with full steam. Heartfelt thanks for all your love and wishes for my recovery. Humbled and energised.” In the pictures he shared, he is seen having a deep conversation with the director and the other technicians of the film.

Saved by miracle

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Kishori Shahane met with an accident on Saturday. She posted pictures of her car’s collision with a truck and wrote, “Our car met with an accident, car destroyed, lives saved. God Bless. Jako rakhe saiya maar sake na koi.” The actor was travelling with her family, but luckily, no one got injured in the mishap.

Injured at work

Television actor Aly Goni’s brother Arslan has been on a month-long schedule in Turkey for one of his upcoming projects. While filming a sequence, the actor broke his nose. Despite bleeding, Arslan completed the schedule set for the day. “My nose got hurt accidentally, and I did bleed a little.
