Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently enjoying the success of the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Animal.' The director has been quite vocal about the backlash his film has received and is leaving no stone unturned in replying to the people who have criticized his action drama. From Javed Akhtar to several other critics, Vanga has been calling out all of them. This time, on his radar, was Aamir Khan's ex-wife, Kiran Rao. In a recent interview, Kiran Rao criticized 'Kabir Singh' and 'Baahubali' for promoting misogyny, and now, Sandeep has targeted Kiran for her criticism.

During a recent interview with Dainik Jagran the director he responded to a media report wherein he recalled a statement saying, "Today morning, my AD showed me an article. It is of the second ex-wife of a superstar. She is saying that films like Bahubaali 2 and Kabir Singh promote misogyny and stalking." Further replying to this statement Vanga said, "I think she does not know the difference between stalking and approaching. When people read these things out of context, they tend to agree. This is entirely wrong."

He further said in Hindi, "I would like to say to that woman, go ask Aamir Khan, ‘Khambe jaisi khadi hai, Ladki hai ya fuljari hai’ woh kya tha? What was that? Then come back to me. If you remember Dil, he almost creates the situation towards an attempted rape, and it makes her realise that she was wrong. She ultimately falls in love. What was all that? I don’t understand why they attack like that before checking the surroundings."

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer and mega-blockbuster action drama 'Animal' premiered on Netflix on Republic Day. The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, created a stir at the box office.

Animal explores the intricacies of modern-day relationships, focusing on the dynamics between a father and son. It stars Ranbir in a dual role as Ranvijay and Aziz Haque.
