Actress Shamita Shetty turned a year older today. Around midnight, Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to her Instagram handle to wish her little sister on her birthday with an adorable video compilation. Along with the video, she also penned a heartfelt note for Shamita.

The video shared by Shilpa begins with Shamita grooving beside the DJ wearing headphones. The video also features pics of the Shetty sisters and Shamita doing gardening. Shilpa also included a video of Shamita driving a toy car with her niece.
Sharing the video, Shilpa wrote, "May your obsession for gardening continue 🫣🤭and may those flowers be ever blooming and filled with beautiful butterflies you can chase."

Shamita Shetty made her acting debut with the YRF film 'Mohabbatein' in 2000. The film headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai also starred Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Jugal Hansraj, Preet Jhangiani, and Kim Sharma.
At the time of her debut, her sister Shilpa Shetty was already a popular name. Therefore, she also had to deal with comparisons to her sister. Talking about the same, Shamita had earlier told mid-day.com, "I'm secure with the person I am today and nothing that is said about me affects me. I know in my heart no two people can be alike, siblings or not. We are all made so unique, it's silly to make comparisons though it is a fact in the industry and it naturally happens. Now people are finally understanding that Shilpa and I are different. We have our own forte, we are interested in different things. I've made peace with it."
In September 2021, she participated in Bigg Boss OTT, finishing as the second runner-up. In the following month, she participated in Colors TV's Bigg Boss 15. She became the first and the last captain of the season, and the only contestant to become the captain twice. She finished her journey as the third runner-up.
