Teacher's Day, in India, is celebrated on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary which falls on September 5 every year. The day is dedicated to teachers for their special contributions to the field of education. Several Bollywood celebrities turned mentors and trained budding artistes.

Anupam Kher revealed through his Instagram post that Deepika Padukone graduated from his acting school, Actor Prepares. Congratulating her on being an Oscar presenter, the veteran actor wrote, "Dearest @deepikapadukone! Congratulations on being one of the presenters at this year’s #Oscar ceremony! Subhash Ghai (Whistling Woods)-Aahana Kumra
Through his acting school, Subhash Ghai taught the art of acting and filmmaking to several aspiring actors. Aahana Kumra was one of the graduates from the institute.
