         BTS’s birthday boy Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope turns 28 today.


  • He’s part of the rap line of the group and is also their dance leader. Before J-Hope joined BTS, he was an accomplished street dancer who competed against other dance crews. He was part of the underground dance team Neuron and took dance classes at Gwangju Music Academy for six years.
  • J-Hope dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player in school.
  • J-Hope’s pet dog Mickey a male, white and brown Shih Tzu, is a rescue. Mickey was left at a gas station by an elderly couple 12 years ago. J-Hope's mom and sister brought Mickey home and made him their pet. Mickey had glaucoma and had lost his vision after which the family decided to get him operated. Now, their let manages to find his food and rest in his allotted space.
  • Though he is part of the 'hyung line' of BTS, he is fondly called the leader of the 'maknae line.'
  • He is known to be very particular about cleanliness and hygiene with fans often calling him, cleaning fairy.
