Amid Hamas attack on Israel, several celebrities have been voicing their opinion and taking stands. Singer Justin Bieber received major backlash for his post related to the ongoing war. The singer had shared a photo on his Instagram stories which showed the destruction in Gaza alongside the words 'Praying for Israel'. Upon realising his mistake following a social media uproar, Bieber deleted the post. He later posted the same message without a picture.

"To vilianize all Palestinians or all Israeli people to me seems wrong,” Bieber wrote in an earlier post on his Instagram Story. “I’m not interested in choosing sides, but I am interested in standing with the families who have been brutally taken from us.”

However, Justin's post supporting Israel with a picture of Gaza did not sit well with netizens. Bieber who has 293 million followers on Instagram was subjected to strongly worded criticism by netizens.

"Justin bieber posting “praying for israel” using a picture of a destroyed gaza is actually insane," wrote a social media user on X.

The user further pointed out how Beiber chose to ignore the violence in Palestine. "He could’ve addressed it, he could’ve also included palestinians in his prayers now that he’s seen the destruction, but nope . just changed it and went on with his day," wrote the user.

"He apologized but honestly that doesn’t change anything. if you are a celebrity you should do research before hurting millions of people. Hope he learns from it," wrote another user.

Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis also posted a picture of children from Gaza thinking it was a picture of Israeli children. Sharing the picture, she wrote, "Terror from the skies” with an Israeli flag. When she realised that the picture was actually of Gazan children, she deleted it.

On the other hand, the number of Israelis murdered during Hamas' invasion of southern Israel over the weekend rose to 1,200 on Wednesday morning, as the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) continued to pummel Palestinian terror assets in the Gaza Strip. Overnight Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force hit more than 200 targets in Gaza's Al Furqan neighborhood, which it called "a terror nest for Hamas," from which "many activities against Israel are carried out." It was Israel's third strike in the area in the past 24 hours, according to the military.
