In an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Parikshit has enthralled the audience with his musical involvement on over 100 films including Shahrukh Khan's 'Raaes', Salman Khan's 'Dabangg Franchise’, Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Mangal', Ajay Devgn's 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior', Deepika Padukone's 'RamLeela' to name a few. Parikshit, who frequently collaborates with Amit Trivedi, recently produced songs for Tapssee Pannu’s ‘Haseen Dilruba’. He has also produced the trending chartbuster tracks 'Ghani Cool Chori' sung by Bhumi Trivedi and 'Zidd' sung by Nikhita Gandhi for the upcoming movie 'Rashmi Rocket'.


 

With a devoted passion for music from the young age of 10, Parikshit started taking musical lessons from the grand master of Tabla and Musical legend Ustad Allah Rakha Khan Sahab.  In his mid-teens, he started assisting his father in the studio's to slowly realize that he had eventually become a full-time sessions musician.  The breakthrough moment in his career came when he co-produced music for the path breaking album 'Breathless’ which marked the debut of musical legend Shankar Mahadevan. The association has also resulted in a long, rewarding and on-going collaborations with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy as a co-producer on major Bollywood projects.

 

Parikshit recently ventured into independent music with his song 'Safar' which garnered love and appreciation of the audience as soon as it was released. The track is a perfect companion for long drives and has already become a part of everyone’s travel playlist.  The song became so popular that it is trending at the No. 1 spot on all leading digital music streaming platforms in India. Talking about the success of ‘Safar’ and his musical journey, an elated Parikshit Sharma shares, "I am really grateful for the love and affection I have received for 'Safar'. It is heart-warming as a musician to see people applauding experimental music. As I complete over two decades in the industry, I am always thankful for the opportunities and the love and support I have received from my associates. We are at a moment of paradigm shift, and I am highly optimistic about the future. As a musician, the role now is to embrace and adapt with rapid technological changes but also hold on to the strong musical roots."

In an illustrious and vibrant career, Parikshit has associated with some of the bigwigs of the musical industry.  He has closely worked with composers like Anu Malik, Nadeem-Shravan, Vishal-Shekhar, Ram Sampath amongst others. In his celebrated collaborations with Amit Trivedi, he has worked on films like Raid, Manmarziyaan, Bhavesh Joshi, Mission Mangal, Butterfly, Bulbul and the upcoming Tapsee Pannu starrer 'Rashmi Rocket'.

As a part of the musical duo Tubby -Parik, his award-winning score for Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra's 'Mirzya' was recognized for its captivating melodies. With a strong experience of scoring music for films across various genres, some of his other noted film scores include Alia Bhatt-Arjun Kapoor starrer '2 States', Abhishek Bacchan's 'The Big Bull’, Varun Dhawan's 'Judwa 2', Sonam Kapoor's 'The Zoya Factor', amongst others.

Parikshit is currently working upon multiple projects which are scheduled to be announced soon. The excitement of his fans is clearly visible on social media who just can’t wait to hear something new from their favourite artist.
