A life dedicated to the service to humanity is the most sublime way of making life worth living. A G Anil Kumar, a 49-year-old philanthropist from Ananthapuram has adopted this belief as his motto of life and stood strong among the crowd to help the frontline workers and everyone in need to rise above the challenges that the pandemic has brought forth.

The man of profound honor, Anil launched a lot of initiatives to make a difference in which the district was battling the virus. One of his most eminent campaigns is ‘Heal Ananthapuram’ under which he distributed over 90,000 N-95 masks, 1.5 lakh surgical masks, 75,000 surgical gloves, 3 lakh surgical caps, and 60,000 sanitizers procured from Malaysia and Korea to all the frontline and essential workers in town. With his Facebook page https://Fb.com/Discoveratp Discover Ananthapuram,’ he fortified people during these tough times to not lose hope and stand aware of the situation completely.

Meet Komal parakh of today’s generation all of 25 and has graduated in Economics and Political Science from the University of Mumbai. She has successfully founded the organization Upcycle Corps., a startup venture dedicated to bringing sustainable lifestyles to communities. Through her startup venture, Komal has effectively prevented over 50,000 meters of underutilized textile leftover from garment manufacturing and apparel production from going to waste by ending up in incinerators or landfills. She has repurposed all this textile into 10,000+ sustainable clothing concepts. In the entire process, Komal has generated fair-wage employment opportunities for 150+ artisans hailing from the remotest parts of the country.

The only thing common between them is their passion to serve the society in their own unique ways and both figure in India’s influential people 2021 a recognition for people who are from normal backgrounds and have taken that first step and made an impact and inspired many to do the same.

One from a small town Ananthapuramu and another from India’s biggest city mumbai have gone all out to change the way people think on environment and sustainable living in their own ways

One trying to save the trees of Ananthapuramu with project green anantapuram another with project upcycle trying to save thousands of meters of waste fabric and caring for Mother Nature .

As Anil continues his social service feeding the hungry and saving the greenery in his hometown and bringing social issues that matters to the forefront and take them to a logical conclusion Komal is busy with her start up empowering many youngsters to become successful and helping the unemployed skilled labourers lead a better life through her sustainable projects.

Destiny was for both of them to meet on a platform where they were honoured for the work they have being doing in their respective field which is uncommon.

These two individuals represent the true Indian with a belief that change always starts with one and that one person should be them. Two worlds two generations Two inspiring stories . The power of ONE
