Kickboxing is one of the best combat sports out there. It is boxing mixed with karate and is mostly learned for self-defense, fitness, and sports. Kickboxers go through intense training to master the sport. One such individual is Umang Katariya. Umang is affiliated with Amateur Sport Kickboxing Association and Wako India Kickboxing Federation. Umang started his kickboxing training at a late stage but is slowly on his way to mastering his skills. Kickboxing is a technical sport and it takes time and effort before starting executing the technique correctly.

Umang's journey has not been an easy one. When he first started his kickboxing training, Umang faced a lot of issues regarding his body weight. He tried various diets in order to lose weight and stay fit. Even after six months, he could not see positive results in his body or kickboxing skills. Kickboxing involves a lot of training and that can only be possible if you are in good shape. But he did not lose hope and decided to focus more. Umang started avoiding junk food and changed his diet. It took him almost a year to change his eating habits and get in proper shape. Due to the pandemic, his kickboxing coaching institute was closed and it hindered his training process.

Kickboxing is not just about throwing kicks and punches. It's about knowing when to throw the kicks and punches which requires high concentration and good timing. These things take time to learn and perfect. Most pro kickboxers have admitted that it took them years to master kickboxing moves. Umang says that he has a lot of things to achieve and learn in the upcoming year. This is just the beginning and he still has a long way to go.
