He had come to Mg Road with his friends Manu, Raji and Dipin for a drink. All of them belong to Kerala, and have come to the city for their studies.
"After having a drink at a pub on MG Road we were on our way back home, and waiting for an auto. After a while, a group came towards us and said something in Kannada. But we don't know the language, and told them so. One of them took out his belt and hit Jidish. They also slapped us," said Manu.
"While we were taking him to the hospital, a police patrol picked us up. In the meanwhile, our attackers had run away," said Manu. The Ashok Nagar police booked a case and later took Jidish and his friends to a nearby hospital for a medical check up.
"These boys wereu00a0 fighting with another group on MG Road. One recieved minor injuries and has been sent to the hospital for treatment. They all were drunk and have been booked," said an officer.
