A visit to Candy Treat at Kalyani Nagar will remind you of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The new store offers an amazing array of candy and chocolates in whacky designs and sporting all the colours of the rainbow.
Range: On offer are tangy, sweet and sour candies. Choose from candy spiders, scorpions, lips, dentures and even bright peppermint jewellery that can also be worn. They also stock chocolate-flavoured beans, strawberry-shaped marshmallows and giant pink and white chocolate mice. Kids love the multi-coloured gob stoppers, jellies and coconut and mushroom-shaped chocolates. The strawberry-flavoured candy dentures look creepy but are au00a0 hot favourite. Theu00a0 show stealer is the sweet juicy lips made from strawberry jelly. They also have eight varieties of chocolates, including choco fudge, soft caramel, cookies and cream, peppermint cru00e8me, caramel cup, hazelnut brownies, chocolate truffle and hazelnut truffle.
Healthy option: If you are health-conscious, go for the sugar-free items and if you are in need of a mouth-freshener, you will have a hard time choosing from ball-shaped Mint Imperials, alphabet-shaped mints and candy mint watches.
We liked: Among the jellies, we loved the fizzy strawberry pencils, sugar-free teddy bears and the sea horses, glow-worms and baby dolphins. Try the Chocolate Brazil made from almond, chocolate as well as rum, raisin and vanilla fudge. They also have yummy chocolate-coated raisins that you can't stop chomping on. If you love gummy bears, you will find them in various colours and flavours such as raspberry and strawberry. They taste sour and are crunchy on the outside and filled with jelly inside.
