As we behold the twin-bed - the one with an adjustable leather-headboard, a remote control to raise or lower sections of the two individual mattresses on it, and slats that can be adjusted to conjure the kind of back-support you prefer - we're convinced that this is the secret to eternal bliss.
The cheque-payer within us, sadly, does not feel as elated, having passed out on seeing the price - a cool Rs 10,00,000 "...onwards," adds Ashish Mahajan, the manager of H lsta, pointing out that costs are calculated based on client specifications.

It comes with a lot of goodies, like, slide-in and swing-out LED reading-lights and sensor lights under the bed, which switch on ever so gently when your feet touch the floor, so one partner needn't be disturbed by the other's nightly call of nature.
At this luxury furniture store, these are just two of many glorious pieces of furniture that will tempt you to rearrange your life's priorities.
The Dono, a Rolf Benz L-shaped sofa, which can be inverted or otherwise modified to suit client-requirements, is another impressive design.
One outstretched limb of the sofa can be pushed out, so that the depth of the seat goes from 56cm to 80cm. It's easy to imagine Margarita-sippers setting their drinks down on the walnut-wood ledge - this is veneered for maximum protection and doubles as back-support for the couch - as they stretch out and relax in the lap of luxury. "Rolf Benz is the store's luxury line," explains Mahajan, preferring not to reveal the price of the piece.

If Mahajan is aware that the entire H lsta range has been awarded the Blauer Angel, the German seal that is awarded to environment-friendly products and services, which meet high health and safety standards, he neglects to mention this too.
Instead, he leads us towards the ArteM line, which, he says, caters to, "mid-range customers." Here, a black leather sofa-cum-bed catches our eye. By now, the Rs 1,50,000 to Rs 2,00,000 price tag almost seems reasonable. Besides, the ease with which the extension glides out and the sheer comfort that is packaged in this simple design, makes a great case for the price.
A wood and back-lacquered-glass table that extends from a 6-seater to an 8-seater (Rs 70,000) is part of the store's affordable Now line. In the same line are pure leather free-swinging chairs whose back-rests are easily adjusted with the flick of a switch located at the base of the arm-rest are also priced at a modest Rs 28,500 each.
Look for H lsta on the first floor, 55, Dr E Moses Road, Worli.
