Here is Britain's oldest car, which has been running since the last 107 years but has never bothered its owners with any technical breakdown

The two-seater Wolseley 6 built in 1904, 'runs like a dream' and has just passed the Ministry of Transport test (MOT).

The number of miles the car has clocked can't be known, as it was made even before mileometers were installed in British cars.

Owner Brian Caseley, 65, bought the car for an undisclosed sum in 2004 from a friend who collects vintage and regularly takes the car for a spin around his hometown of Sherborne, Dorset.

"She still runs like a dream. I'm very proud of her and love showing her off," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

"She's quite a regular now in the town," he added.

Caseley's wife Pat, 63, also revealed that it is one of the most 'efficient' cars.

"The car has never broken down and is still as good as the day it was first made," she said.

"It runs on petrol and does around 30 to 40 miles to the gallon so is more efficient than most of today's cars," she added.

The car, which was originally owned by E H Greenly, of Herefordshire, in 1905, has a top speed of 29mph, still sports the original registration plate CJ 164 and is still in mint condition.
