Nepali Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel arrived in India on Tuesday for a four-day visit, which will focus on strengthening military ties and exploring new opportunities for defence cooperation. This visit comes just weeks after the official trip of Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi to Nepal. During his stay from December 11 to 14, General Sigdel will meet with senior Indian military officials to discuss areas of mutual interest and collaboration. Upon his arrival in Delhi, he was warmly welcomed by the Indian Army. This visit marks an important step in enhancing the relationship between the two countries' armed forces. Watch video for more.
11 December,2024 12:30 PM ISTDRDO successfully tested another Pinaka Weapon System. DRDO flight tests of Guided Pinaka Weapon System as part of Provisional Staff Qualitative Requirements (PSQR) validation trials. The flight tests have been conducted in three phases at different field firing ranges. PSQR parameters and rate of fire for multiple target engagement in a salvo mode have been also assessed by extensive testing of rockets. Earlier, French Army officer revealed evaluating the Indian Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher systems for their requirements. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh complimented DRDO and the Indian Army for the successful PSQR Validation Trials. He stated that the induction of this Guided Pinaka Weapon System will further boost the artillery firepower of the Armed Forces. The Pinaka MBRL is developed by the DRDO and produced by agencies including Solar Industries, L&T, and Tata. The rocket system which can hit targets at 75 kilometres and beyond with its multiple variants has already been an export success.

The drone got diverted towards Pakistan’s Nikial Sector due to a technical glitch, as per Indian Army. Indian Army citing media inputs said that the UAV had been recovered by the Pakistani troops in the area. Meanwhile, a hotline message has been sent to the Pakistan Army to return the said drone. 14 August,2024 12:42 PM ISTOn July 27th, Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), who works closely with terrorist organisations, launched a border attack. Pakistani troop’s plot was thwarted at a forward post in Kamkari, Macchal Sector on the Line of Control. In the major operation, the Indian Army gunned down one Pakistani militant as the operation was still in progress. However, five Indian Army personnel have suffered injuries in the ensuing military operation, sources added. Notably, Pakistan’s terror attempt comes a day after India celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26.
