Iran conducts air defense drills as tensions with U.S. and Israel escalate

The conflict in the Middle East is still ongoing, with no signs of stopping. The Israeli Defense Forces have almost destroyed all Iranian-backed groups. With the change in leadership in the U.S., Iran faces more pressure, as President Trump has pushed for tougher actions against Iran. Over the weekend, Iran held air defense exercises, which are part of a larger two-month military drill that began on January 4. These drills include practicing defense of important nuclear sites, like Natanz, from missile and drone attacks. Iran is also testing new missiles and drones. Iran has faced challenges in Lebanon and Syria, where Israeli airstrikes have targeted Hezbollah and Assad's regime is weakening.
