On the night of 9th December, a horrifying incident unfolded on the busy streets of Mumbai. A bus driver lost control, causing a deadly crash that left six people dead and 49 others severely injured. The tragedy occurred around 9:45 pm in the Kurla (West) area, near the bustling Kurla market. The electric bus, on route number 332, was traveling from Kurla Railway Station (West) towards Sakinaka. The tragic incident was caught on camera. The video shows the electric bus speeding uncontrollably through the streets. The bus brushed past parked vehicles, sparking chaos on the roads. Ramming into over two dozen vehicles—including auto-rickshaws, two-wheelers, and even a police jeep, the bus left a trail of destruction. The bus then crashed into the gates of an apartment building, bringing the madness to a halt. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but tragically, six lives were lost, and dozens more were injured. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced ₹ 5 lakh financial assistance for the families of each victim of the Mumbai bus accident. The BEST, the bus service provider, will cover the treatment costs for the injured. The driver, identified as Sanjay More, was arrested and charged with culpable homicide.

The bus, which was traveling from Kurla to Andheri, crashed into several vehicles and pedestrians before finally stopping at the gates of a residential building. Shiv Sena leader Dilip Lande narrated the entire fatal incident. According to DCP Zone 5, Ganesh Gawade, the driver lost control of the vehicle in Kurla, causing widespread damage. The injured victims in the Mumbai bus accident are being treated at nearby hospitals. The driver of the bus, traveling on route number 332, has been taken into custody, and an inquiry is underway. Connecting BKC(Bandra Kurla Complex) to Aarey, this metro service has come as a big relief to the commuters travelling on the western line. 22 September,2023 01:17 PM ISTIndia on March 20 signed a historic pact of approx. Rs 3,000 crores with Japanese government, for work related to the design, construction of the underground Mumbai High-Speed Rail Station. This is first contract being awarded on the Maharashtra side of Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed bullet train corridor. The total area of the station complex is 4.85 hectares and total completion time is expected to be 54 months from the date of commencement. The station will have six platforms and length of each platform is approximately 415 metres, which is sufficient to accommodate a 16-coach bullet train. It is pertinent to note that Bandra Kurla Complex HSR station is the only underground station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The platform is planned at a depth of about 24 meters from the ground level and will have three floors including a platform, concourse and service floor. Two entry/exit points are planned one to facilitate access to the nearby metro station and the other towards the adjacent MTNL building. #BulletTrain #Japan #IndiaJapan
