29 December,2020 12:00 AM IST | MumbaiContemporary Indian dancer Astad Deboo, renowned for merging Kathak and Kathakali into a unique form, died in Mumbai on 10th December. Aged 73, he passed away in the early hours of December 10, at his home in Mumbai, after a brief illness. Meanwhile, the city's traffic personnel will soon knock on the doors of errant motorists who have been fined but did not pay up. The department will start the drive from December 15 as it stares at a huge backlog of nearly Rs 317 crore.
10 December,2020 03:45 PM ISTAstad Deboo was a pioneer of modern dance in India. With a dynamic dance career of over 48 years and performances in over 72 countries, he touched many lives. In 2009, he performed his production, 'Breaking Boundaries' with fourteen street children from the NGO Salaam Baalak Trust.
