Pakistani cricketers, who have signed their central contracts are still waiting for their dues to be cleared by the PCB, which claims the payments have been stuck due to an ongoing audit.

The Express newspaper today reported that several Pakistani cricketers had complained about not being paid their dues by the board since last year. "Some have confirmed that the board has not even distributed the players share of the logo sponsorship deal they have with a international beverages company to the players," the newspaper reported.

The Pakistani players reportedly signed the central contracts during the second Test against Sri Lanka in Lahore earlier this month after the board agreed to review some terms of the new central contracts. T

he players are still waiting for their dues to be cleared including their monthly salaries and match fees and other sponsorship amounts.

A player claimed that when some players approached the finance department of the board to get the dues cleared, they were told to talk to Chairman Ejaz Butt or chief operating officer Saleem Altaf.

But sources in the board said the dues were delayed as the finance department needed to work out some accounts in view of the audit of the board funds carried out recently by the auditor general of Pakistan.
