Michael Jordan has retained his place at the top of Forbes' list of highest-paid retired athletes.

The former basketball star, who stopped playing in 2003, earned $110million last year (£76.5million) according to the American business magazine.

Second on the list and up a place from 2015 is David Beckham, whose various endorsements pocketed him $65million (£45.2million).
