The other three short listed players are Sharmada Balu, Rutuja Bhosle and Prerna Bhambri, who will be called for a camp ahead of the Olympics. "I'm not really thinking about the Olympics trials. Right now, I want to concentrate on the next two USD 10,000 ITF tournaments to be held in Fujairah and Oman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). I knew that my name featured in the probable list even before the official AITA announcement on March 24," informed the 19-year-old.

Talking about her Olympic dreams, she added, "If I get a chance to partner Sania, it would be good. But if that doesn't work out, my goal is to make it to the Indian team for 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Currently, I want to just keep my head down and work hard. I will be excited only if my name features when the Indian squad for the Olympics would be announced in June. Until then I will train as per my schedule."
Recently, Kyra and her Slovenian partner Anja Prislan were runners-up in the women's doubles of the USD 10,000 ITF tournament in Mumbai. They lost to second seed Thai pair of Peangtarn Plipuech and Varunya Wongteanchai 6-1, 6-2, while she lost to Croatian Donna Vekic 1-6, 6(4)-7 in the women's singles semi-finals of the USD 25,000 ITF tournament in Bangalore.
Kyra's ranking has seen an upsurge both in singles and doubles. Her current singles ranking is 872 compared to 888 on March 5, and she is ranked 667 in doubles from 695.
