New-born brings doubles joy for Bhupathi

Indian fourth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna beat Carsten Ball and Treat Conrad Huey 6-2, 6-2 to move into the men's doubles pre-quarterfinals at the Australian Open tennis tournament here Saturday.

Bhupathi was miles away in Melbourne when his wife, actress Lara Dutta gave birth to their first child. But thanks to technology, the tennis ace managed to catch a glimpse of his wife and daughter through video calling. Lara gave birth to a baby daughter on Friday afternoon. "Just spoke to @DuttaLara and baby on Skype.
They got to watch the match on TV in the hospital." Bhupathi, wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina advanced to the round of 16 in the women's doubles won 7-5, 7-5 against Czech-Italian pair of Eva Birnerova and Alberta Brianti 7-5, 7-5 in another second round match.
