It was a good day for the Indians at the China Open yesterday as Leander Paes, Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza all registered wins with their respective partners.
Top seeds in the men’s doubles, Paes and his Canadian partner Daniel Nestor easily beat Americans John Isner and Sam Querrey 6-2, 6-2 in first round.
In the women’s doubles, eight seeded Sania and Cara Black got past Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2.
