Moments after beating Lee Westwood to clinch the World Golf Final, Justin Rose said he was keen to now target Ryder Cup teammate Rory McIlroy's position as European No 1.
“I’d like to give Rory a bit of a run for the Race to Dubai,” Rose said after he shot a five-under-par 66 to beat Westwood by a single shot in Friday’s final here in Turkey.

“He’s got a bit of a lead on me and is playing a lot of golf now so he’s going to be tough to catch, but if I can continue to push the top end of the leaderboard I will give myself a chance and that will be fun,” added Rose, who pocketed a cool USD 1.5 million for his win in Turkey.
The Englishman sealed the match by holing a 20-foot birdie at the 17th hole. On Thursday, Rose beat American ace Tiger Woods in the semi-finals.u00a0
