Nassau (Bahamas): Jamaica's men posted a new world record in the 4x200 metres on the opening night of the IAAF World Relays in Nassau, the Bahamas.

Yohan Blake, silver medallist in both the 100m and 200m at London 2012, led home the quartet in a time of one minute 18.63 seconds to beat the old record by 0.05secs, which was set by the USA in 1994.
Nicekl Ashmeade, Warren Weir and Jermaine Brown also played their part for Jamaica, with Brown and Blake completing the final lap of the track in a time of 39.63secs.
St Kitts and Nevis finished second in a national record time of 1min 20.51secs, while France took third and established a new European record of 1:20.66.
