But there can be exceptions to the YRF rule, especially when it involves Rani Mukerji, considering her proximity to them.
Adi's initiative
It is learnt that producer Aditya Chopra had a special screening of Dil Bole Hadippa for the actress and her family recently. Along with Rani, her parents Krishna and Ram Mukerji as well as her brother Raja and his wife Jyoti were present.
Says a source, "Normally, such a screening of a YRF project would never happen. But Aditya himself organised a screening of the movie exclusively for the Mukerjis at the YRF studios." Buzz doing the B-Town rounds is that Raja has been raving about his sister's performance ever since.
Dekha hai
When asked about the Hadippa screening, Raja admits, "Yes, we have seen the movie some time back at a private screening."
He adds, "It is one of Rani's best performances. Every actor has those three or four films that he/she is best remembered for. Dil Bole Hadippa will be one such film for her. She is superb in it."
And it is not just a dear brother speaking. "Seeing is believing," he says.
