In a heartwarming gesture, actor Varun Tej has teamed up with a die-hard fan to organise a special screening of his upcoming film 'Operation Valentine' for 200 orphaned children. The initiative began when a fan, through an Instagram video, pledged to arrange a screening if Varun Tej responded. Swiftly acknowledging the gesture, Varun Tej commented, “Such a noble thought. Let me arrange a special screening for those kids from my end. My team will coordinate with you to make it a memorable experience for them.”

Expressing her gratitude, the fan responded, “@varunkonidela7 thank you so much varun garu... It means a lot!! Thanks for the support... Hope the kids get inspired by you and the movie.”

Known for his compassion towards children, Varun Tej had previously donated hearing aids worth 10 lakhs to hearing-impaired children, showcasing his commitment to making a positive impact.

In an interview with mid-day.com Varun shared, "Our script was submitted to the Ministry of Defence [MoD] for approval. We were told that nine to 12 scripts, based on the same events, were awaiting clearance. We did not know about Fighter or Tejas [2023] until their [promos] came out, and by then, we were making our film. The MoD made changes to the script because they technically don't function the way we had written the story. Initially, it was planned as a Telugu film. But I wanted it to resonate with everyone, so [we made it in Hindi as well]. [Making such films] is about inspiring a generation of men and women to be heroic. There is so much happening at the border; it's important to bring that to the big screen."

‘Operation Valentine’ is a bi-lingual film, shot in Hindi and Telugu languages on a real air base and with real fighter planes. The electrifying trailer presents Varun Tej as a fearless IAF pilot, all set to take on the enemy, while Manushi Chhillar portrays the role of a skilled Air Force radar officer. It offers a perfect blend of thrills, emotions, and excitement.

The film is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda's Renaissance Pictures, and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment (Vakil Khan) and Nandakumar Abbineni. Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, a seasoned ad-film maker and VFX aficionado, will be marking his directorial debut with this film. Written by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar, the film will be released on March 1, 2024, in Telugu and Hindi.
