aMicrosoft launched two products, the Surface 2 tablet and Surface Pro 2 tabtop in New York on Monday, along with seven new accessories. Priced at $499, the Surface 2 is slightly lighter than its predecessor and is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. It gets 10.6-inch ClearType Full HD display with USB 3.0 connectivity, an upgraded 3.5-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera, the company revealed. The Surface 2 will be available in 32GB and 64GB configurations, and Microsoft claims it will give up to 10 hours for video playback.

The Surface Pro on the other hand will start at $899, and will be available in 64GB and 128 GB configurations with 4GB RAM, and is powered by a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor. The company will also have limited editions of the Surface Pro 2 with 256GB and 512GB storage and 8GB RAM. Both products will be available in retail stores in 21 countries by October 22, but the list doesn’t include India, as yet.
The seven accessories include new touch keyboards, an arc touch mouse, dock station for Surface Pro 2, and a cover with power backup among others. These accessories will be sold separately.

Powered by 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad core processor, N1 features, six physical lenses with an f/2.0 wide aperture. It boasts of a 5.9-inch screen with a screen resolution of 377ppi, and 2Gb RAM. Global availability to be announced soon.
