Button fears driver backlash if 2014 F1 cars' min weight not increased

According to Metro.co.uk, the sports governing body, the FIA, has lifted the combined weight limit of the car and driver in overalls, from 642 kilograms to 692 kg for 2014 because next year’s cars will be heavier.

However, Button, who weighs 74kg, admits his McLaren team will still find it difficult to ensure he does not breach the rules, the report said.

He said that he had struggled to make the weight limit for the last three years and he cannot build muscle and cannot eat carbohydrates because he has to be a set weight, adding that it was going to get worse next year.
